A compact citrus tree that bears small, oval-shaped fruits eaten whole skin and all! The peel is sweet, while the inside is tangy. Evergreen, lance shaped leaves with smooth texture. In summer, it produces fragrant white blossoms. Native to Southeast China, now grown worldwide including Malaysia, Florida, and the Mediterranean. Tolerates temperatures down to around −8 °C (17 °F). Prefers full sun and well draining soil.
