Alocasia silver dragon features large, heart-shaped leaves with prominent silver veining. The leaves have metallic sheen and are a glossy, dark green colour which contrasts beautifully with the silver veins. It tends to grow in an upright manner with its leaves held aloft on long, slender stems.

Secret of success:
☀️: Provide bright indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while inadequate light can lead to leggy growth or smaller leaves.
🌱: Well-draining, aerated potting mix.
: Water thoroughly when soil surface is dry, avoid overwatering it.
🌡️: Prefers temperature between 18℃ to 30℃. Protect it from drafts and cold temperatures.
💦: Moderate humidity, 60-70%. Can increase humidity by misting the leaves, using humidifier or placing the pot on a pebble tray filled with water.
👩🏻🌾: Fertilize lightly during growing season.
🕷️: Keep an eye out for common houseplant pests like spider mites, aphids and mealybugs. Inspect the leaves regularly. Ensure good air circulation around the plant to prevent fungal diseases.

Here are some simple tips to help keep fresh cut flowers fresh:
- Keep them away from sunlight or any heat source.
- Give the stems a diagonal trim and place them in clean, cool water.
- Change the water every 2-3 days.
- Make sure you remove any leaves that are beneath the water line.

- IMPORTANT: Dried flowers DO NOT NEED WATER.
- Always display dried flowers indoors, to keep them protected from the elements.
- Keep your dried flowers away from direct sunlight, areas of bright light and away from humidity.
- Sprinkling water or perfume can cause damage
- Avoid crushing, pressing or folding flower.
- If the preserved flower is stained by the dust, you can clean the preserved flower with the blower blowing softly 20cm away from the flower.
- Temperature changes should be avoided to prevent humidity which could affect your blossoms.
Most plants thrive in high humidity — around 80%.
Using a humidifier can help, but there are other ways to increase the moisture in the air near your plants. A small tray containing pebbles and water can boost local humidity as can grouping plants more closely together. Daily misting of the plant’s leaves can help as well. For some plants, such as gardenias and orchids, keeping them in a bathroom or the kitchen (both usually have a higher humidity) can help.
