Bromeliad

Palm Bromeliad (Scientific name: Pitcairnia corallina) is a genus of evergreen perennials which is an evergreen perennial herb of the pineapple family Pitcairniaceae, native to Colombia, Peru and eastern Brazil. It produces flower stalks from between its oblong leaves, and from the tips of the stalks, it produces inflorescences with drooping bright red flowers (actually bracts). The edges of the petals (bracts) are white. The true flowers are the small yellow ones that emerge from between the bracts.
