Kokedama is a Japanese gardening technique that involves growing plants in a ball of moss and soil. It is unique and beautiful way to display the plants. Kokedama diameter: 10cm Plant height: 40-50cm (incl. pot height)
Secret of success: ☀️: Place it in a location with bright indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some morning sun but should be protected from harsh afternoon sunlight.
: Submerge the entire ball in a bowl of water for about 5-10 minutes to allows the moss and soil to absorb moisture thoroughly. After soaking, gently squeeze the kokedama to remove excess water, but be careful not to damage the plant or the moss.
🌡️: Prefers temperature between 18℃ to 30℃. Protect them from extreme cold and heat. 💦: It thrives in high humidity.
👩🏻🌾: Feed with a balanced, liquid fertiliser during the growing season every 4-6 weeks.
: Remove dead or yellowing leaves and thin out crowded canes to maintain an attractive appearance.
Always display dried flowers indoors, to keep them protected from the elements.
Keep your dried flowers away from direct sunlight, areas of bright light and away from humidity.
Sprinkling water or perfume can cause damage
Avoid crushing, pressing or folding flower.
If the preserved flower is stained by the dust, you can clean the preserved flower with the blower blowing softly 20cm away from the flower.
Temperature changes should be avoided to prevent humidity which could affect your blossoms.
Plant Care Tips
Most plants thrive in high humidity — around 80%.
Using a humidifier can help, but there are other ways to increase the moisture in the air near your plants. A small tray containing pebbles and water can boost local humidity as can grouping plants more closely together. Daily misting of the plant’s leaves can help as well. For some plants, such as gardenias and orchids, keeping them in a bathroom or the kitchen (both usually have a higher humidity) can help.
