Unwrap & Prepare: Remove all packaging and allow the flowers to breathe. Keep them away from direct sunlight and heat.

Trim the Stems: Cut 1–2 cm off the stems at a 45° angle using clean scissors or a knife. This helps the flowers absorb water better.

Use Clean Water & Flower Food: Place flowers in a clean vase filled with fresh water. If flower food is provided, mix it according to the instructions. You can also purchase flower food to help your flowers last longer.

Change Water Regularly: Replace the water every 1–2 days. Rinse the vase and re-trim the stems each time to keep bacteria away.

Remove Wilted Parts: Remove any leaves below the waterline and discard wilted petals or flowers to maintain freshness.

Choose the Right Spot: Keep flowers in a cool, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, fans, air-conditioning vents, and ripening fruits.

Refresh When Needed: If flowers start to droop, re-trim the stems and change the water to revive them.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, but avoid direct sunlight, especially during midday. Ideal locations include windowsills, balconies, or shaded outdoor areas.

Soil: Use well-draining orchid mix (bark, sphagnum moss, or perlite). Repot every 2-3 years or when the medium breaks down.

Water Requirement: Water when the potting medium is dry. Avoid letting water sit in the crown of the plant, as this can cause rot.

Temperature: Ideal range: 18-30°C during the day.

Humidity: Ideal humidity level: 50%-70%. Likes moderate to high humidity. Mist leaves or use a humidity tray.

Fertiliser: Feed every 2 weeks with a balanced orchid fertilizer (20-20-20) when actively growing.

Caution: After flowering, cut back the flower spike but don’t remove the cane—it stores nutrients for future growth. Some varieties need a cooler, drier period to rebloom.
