《金鱼花》

Nematanthus gregarious also called the goldfish plant. This name comes from the shape of the flowers, which resemble small fish. These plants typically have thick, glossy, oval-shaped leaves that can be dark green or variegated. The flowers are usually tubular and can be orange, yellow, or red, often appearing in clusters. They are known for their vibrant colors and can attract pollinators. The plant is popular for its attractive foliage and bright, tubular flowers that add a splash of color to indoor or outdoor spaces. These plants are generally compact and can be grown as trailing or upright specimens, making them suitable for hanging baskets, pots, or as ground cover.

  • Light

Thrives in bright but indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.

  • Soil

Use a light, fast-draining potting soil that is slightly acidic and contains perlite, peat moss, and vermiculite.

  • Water Requirement

Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. They prefer consistently moist but not soggy conditions.

  • Temperature

Thrives in warm temperatures between 18°C to 27°C. Prevent cold drafts which can cause leaf drop and stress to the plant.

  • Humidity

Prefer high-humidity environments. Use a humidifier to increase moisture level.

  • Fertilizer

Fertilize every two weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength.

  • Caution

Prune regularly to maintain a bushy shape and health. After flowering, trim back the stems to promote branching and new growth.
