Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus) is a fragrant, evergreen herb native to the Mediterranean region, valued for both culinary and ornamental purposes. Rosemary has needle-like, aromatic leaves with a dark green upper side and a silvery underside. Rosemary can grow as a small shrub, reaching 3–5 feet (1–1.5 meters) tall outdoors in warm climates. It’s also commonly grown in pots indoors or as part of a herb garden.

Thrives in full sunlight and requires at least 6–8 hours of sunlight each day. When grown indoors, it’s best to place it near a sunny window or under a grow light.

Use a well-draining, sandy soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH.

Drought-tolerant plants should be watered sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Prefers warm, dry climates. Ideal growing temperatures are between 18℃ to 29℃.
Humidity
Prefer low to moderate humidity levels with good air circulation.
Fertilizer
Fertilizing with a balanced, slow-release organic fertilizer or compost is ideal.
Caution
Remove any brown or damaged branches to keep the plant healthy. Avoid pruning too much into the older, woody parts of the plant. Pruning helps improve airflow around the plant, reducing the risk of fungal diseases.
