Astrophytum is a small group of unique, star-shaped cacti. They come from Mexico and parts of the southern U.S. These cacti are popular with collectors because of their interesting shapes and beautiful patterns. Some look like stars, others are round and speckled with white dots. They grow slowly and are easy to care for, needing little water and lots of sunlight. Some types even produce large, pretty flowers.
