《星花凤梨花》
Guzmania is a genus of tropical plants in the Bromeliad family, known for its striking, colorful blooms and lush green foliage. Native to Central and South America, Guzmanias are often epiphytic; they grow on other plants or trees in the wild rather than in soil, absorbing moisture and nutrients from the air. These plants have long, narrow, arching leaves that grow in a rosette form. Guzmania blooms are vibrant, often red, orange, yellow, or pink, and can last several months. They are generally low-maintenance, slow-growing plants, making them suitable as indoor or tabletop plants.
Symbolism:
1. Vibrancy & positive energy
2. Strength & endurance
3. Longevity & persistance

Plant Care Guide for Guzmania - Red 《星花凤梨花》
-
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light levels. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so a spot near a window with filtered light is ideal.
-
Soil
Use a well-draining, airy soil. Ideally a standard potting mix designed for bromeliads or orchids works well.
-
Water Requirement
Water directly into the central cup (the rosette) formed by the leaves, as Guzmanias absorb water from this cup in their natural habitat. Keep the cup filled but not stagnant; empty and refill it periodically to avoid bacterial growth.
-
Temperature
Ideal growing temperatures are between 18℃ to 26℃.
-
Humidity
It does well in high humidity levels. In dry environment, mist the plant occasionally to maintain moisture levels.
-
Fertilizer
Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength once a month. Apply directly to the soil or lightly into the cup.
-
Caution
Trim any yellowing or damaged leaves to keep the plant looking fresh. As flowers fade, cut them back to encourage new growth.
