  • Light

Bright, indirect light; some direct sun is fine.

  • Soil

Crotons prefer well-draining, slightly acidic to neutral soil. A mix of potting soil, perlite, and peat moss can work well.

  • Water Requirement

Keep soil moist but not soggy. Let the top inch of soil dry out between waterings.

  • Temperature

Prefers 16°C to 29°C. Keep away from cold drafts and frost.

  • Humidity

Likes high humidity. Mist leaves or use a humidifier.

  • Fertilizer

During the growing season (spring and summer), feed your Croton once a month with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer to promote healthy growth and vibrant leaves.

  • Caution

Trim back any leggy growth to maintain the shape of the plant. Pruning can also help encourage bushier growth and remove dead or yellowing leaves. Pinch back the tips of the plant during the growing season to promote fuller growth and a more compact appearance.
