Portulacaria ginseng is a popular succulent often grown for its attractive foliage and ease of care. It can grow up to 2.5-4.5m in its native habitat but is usually smaller when grown indoors, typically reaching 0.3-1m in height. The leaves are small, round and fleshy, typically bright green but can have a reddish hue around the edges when exposed to bright light. It produces small, star-shaped pink or white flowers, but flowering is rare indoors.
