Lithops, commonly known as “living stones” or “pebble plants”. It is unique succulent that resemble small stones or pebbles, allowing them to blend into their natural environment as a form of camouflage. Lithops consist of two thick, fleshy leaves that are fused together. The leaves are often patterned with lines, dots or other markings to help them blend in with the rocky surroundings.
It is small plant and typically growing to height of about 2.5-5cm and width about 2.5cm. Lithops grow in clusters as they mature. It produces white or yellow colours flowers that emerge from the center of the plant. It grows very slowly and new pairs emerge annually. The old leaves gradually dry up as the new pair takes over.
Always display dried flowers indoors, to keep them protected from the elements.
Keep your dried flowers away from direct sunlight, areas of bright light and away from humidity.
Sprinkling water or perfume can cause damage
Avoid crushing, pressing or folding flower.
If the preserved flower is stained by the dust, you can clean the preserved flower with the blower blowing softly 20cm away from the flower.
Temperature changes should be avoided to prevent humidity which could affect your blossoms.
