Acorus gramineus, commonly known as Japanese sweet flag, is a low-maintenance ornamental grass often used in water gardens, rock gardens, or as a ground cover. The leaves are narrow, grass-like, and evergreen, growing in fan-like clumps. Their color is bright green and are fragrant when crushed.

    Thrives in consistently moist to wet soil. Suitable for planting near ponds or in shallow water. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely.

    Ideal growing temperatures are between 18℃ to 30℃.

    Prefers moderate to high humidity environment, it performs best in environments with at least 50% humidity.

  • Fertilizer

    Use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer during the growing season.

  • Caution

    Remove old or damaged foliage in early spring to promote fresh growth. Can be divided every 2-3 years to control size and maintain vigor.
