Hyacinthus are one of the easiest spring bulbs to grow. They pack a big punch of both color and fragrance in their clusters of blooms. Caring for hyacinthus does not require much effort because the plants grow from bulbs. Give hyacinth plants moisture and a cool spot and they will provide fragrant blooms in different shades of colours.

 

- A cool spot in bright indirect sunlight in the home encourages the best, longer lasting blooms. Rotate the plants as it will lean toward sunlight.

- Prefer moist but well-drained soil.

-Allow soil to slightly dry in between waterings.

- The bulbs contain plenty of stored nutrients for the leaves and flowers which makes fertilizer unnecessary.

- Be careful when handling hyacinth bulbs if your skin is sensitive as the bulb release tiny, needle-like crystals that can cause irritation.
