Pachira has dark green leaves that resemble a hand with five fingers. According to Chinese feng shui tradition, the leaves with a bit of imagination look like green hands that capture happiness and good fortune. The structure is fabulous, the large leaves that grow on fairly long stems allowing light to pass through.

    Thrives in bright indirect light, it can tolerate low light but may grow more slowly and have fewer leaves. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.

    Well-draining, aerated potting mix.

  • Water Requirement

    Water when the growing medium is almost dry.

  • Temperature

    Ideal growing temperatures are between 18℃ to 30℃. Keep it away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

  • Humidity

    Prefers high humidity.

  • Fertilizer

    Fertilize lightly during growing season. Fertilise every 4 to 6 weeks during the growing season.

  • Caution

    Prune to remove yellowing or damaged leaves and to maintain the plant’s shape.
