Plant Care Guide for Solanum Spp《珊瑚樱/光果龙葵》
-
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. While it can tolerate some direct sunlight, too much can scorch the leaves.
-
Soil
Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid waterlogging. Regular watering is important, especially during the hotter months.
-
Water Requirement
Use well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. A potting mix designed for tropical plants would work well.
-
Temperature
growing temperatures are between 18℃ to 24℃.
-
Humidity
Moderate humidity is ideal. A comfortable range for the relative humidity (RH) is 40-60%.
-
Fertilizer
Feed with balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4-6 weeks to support growth and fruiting.
-
Caution
Cutting away any dead or unhealthy stems at the base, making sure to cut just above a leaf node. Trim back overly long or leggy stems to encourage a bushier growth habit. If the plant has flowered, consider trimming spent flowers and fruits to redirect energy toward new growth. Fruit will not be produced if there is a lack of pollination. Indoor plants will require manual pollination. Jerusalem cherry is toxic if ingested, keep the plant out of reach of pets and small children.
