Begonia maculata, the polka dot begonia is a species of begonia native to southeast Brazil. The spotted, elongated leaves are a dark green color that sometimes ranges from olive to forest green. The spots are a pale grey to silver color, and the undersides of the leaves are a rich burnt orange color. The plant's unique and colorful appearance, including flowers that range from white to pink. Use Clean Water & Flower Food: Place flowers in a clean vase filled with fresh water. If flower food is provided, mix it according to the instructions. You can also purchase flower food to help your flowers last longer.

Change Water Regularly: Replace the water every 1–2 days. Rinse the vase and re-trim the stems each time to keep bacteria away.

Remove Wilted Parts: Remove any leaves below the waterline and discard wilted petals or flowers to maintain freshness.

Choose the Right Spot: Keep flowers in a cool, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, fans, air-conditioning vents, and ripening fruits.

Refresh When Needed: If flowers start to droop, re-trim the stems and change the water to revive them.
