Codiaeum variegatum, better known as Croton, is a popular tropical evergreen shrub valued for its strikingly vibrant foliage. Native to Malaysia, Indonesia, and other parts of Southeast Asia, this plant belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family. The main appeal of Croton plants is their vibrant, multicolored leaves with thick, leathery textures and various shapes ranging from narrow and linear to wide and lobed. Crotons typically grow 1 to 2.5 meters tall indoors, though they can reach greater heights in their natural habitat. They have a dense, bushy growth habit that makes them ideal as accent plants.

Use Clean Water & Flower Food: Place flowers in a clean vase filled with fresh water. If flower food is provided, mix it according to the instructions. You can also purchase flower food to help your flowers last longer.

Change Water Regularly: Replace the water every 1–2 days. Rinse the vase and re-trim the stems each time to keep bacteria away.

Remove Wilted Parts: Remove any leaves below the waterline and discard wilted petals or flowers to maintain freshness.

Choose the Right Spot: Keep flowers in a cool, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, fans, air-conditioning vents, and ripening fruits.

Refresh When Needed: If flowers start to droop, re-trim the stems and change the water to revive them.

Caution: Trim any dead, yellowing, or damaged parts to keep the plant healthy and prevent disease. Prune back long or leggy stems just above a leaf node to promote bushier appearance. Croton plants are toxic to pets and humans if ingested. The plant's sap can cause skin irritation, so it's best handled with care.
