Euphorbia acrurensis is a succulent that typically grows as a single, upright columnar stem that can reach significant heights. The stem is ribbed, segmented, and can branch as it matures. The stem has vertical rows of thorns or spines along the ribs, which can vary in size and colour. It has tiny, inconspicuous leaves that are quickly shed, leaving the green stem to carry out photosynthesis.
