Chlorophytum Curly

《吊兰》

Chlorophytum comosum will produce stems with a baby spider plant at the tip. These tiny plants are called as spiderettes and can be grown on to make new plants for free. The leaves maybe solid green or variegate with lengthwise stripes of white or yellow.

Pot diameter: 15cm
Plant height: 25cm (Included pot height)

Secret of success:

☀️: Requires bright indirect sunlight. Low light intensity will slow down the growth rate.
🌱: Well-drained soil.
🚿: Allow soil to dry in between watering.
💦: Average humidity. Brown tips indicates low humidity. Provide occasional misting.
👩🏻🌾: Fertilize lightly during the growing season.

  • Light

Prefers to grow in light shade. It can tolerate heavy shade, but the growth won't be as robust. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.

  • Soil

Spider plant prefers sharp drainage with fairly neutral soil pH but can tolerate slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soil.

  • Water Requirement

Spider plants like lightly moist but not soggy soil. Overwatering can cause root rot and ultimately kill the plant. These plants are sensitive to fluoride and chlorine in water, which can brown the leaf tips.

  • Temperature

It don’t like temperatures below 50°C. It should be protected from drafts and air-conditioning vents when grown indoors.

  • Humidity

Warm, humid conditions are ideal for spider plants.

  • Fertilizer

Fertilize lightly during the growing season.

  • Caution

Remove dead or browning leaves as they appear. If a plant is becoming too leggy and sparse, remove the plantlet shoots to redirect energy to the main plant.
